B.J. Novak to Headline 2025 Omaha Public Library Fundraiser

Between the Lines with B.J. Novak is 7 p.m. Tuesday, October 14, 2025, at the Omaha Community Playhouse, 6915 Cass Street.

B.J. Novak is best known for his work on NBC’s Emmy Award-winning comedy The Office. In addition to starring as Ryan, Novak was a co-executive producer for the series and wrote many of the show’s most memorable episodes. He has written One More Thing: Stories and Other Stories, a New York Times Bestseller. Among younger readers, Novak’s 2014 title The Book With No Pictures is wildly popular and proved to again be a New York Times Bestseller.

PATRON tickets ($125 per person) include a private reception featuring B.J. Novak, which begins at 5:30 p.m.

GENERAL ADMISSION tickets ($75 per person) include a reception, starting at 6 p.m.

The 7 p.m. event includes a moderated conversation with B.J. Novak plus an audience Q&A. The night concludes with dessert and a book signing by Novak. The Bookworm will have copies of Novak’s books available for purchase.

The evening also features the presentation of the 2025 Barbara Bock-Mavis Leadership Award. The annual award recognizes longtime service from an Omaha Public Library Foundation volunteer.
