Wendy Townley joined the Omaha Public Library Foundation as executive director in 2014. A fundraising professional, she previously worked as a campaign manager for the Steier Group. Townley also has a sizable background in public relations, with posts at the University of Nebraska at Omaha and Cox Communications. She holds two degrees from the University of Nebraska at Omaha: a bachelor’s in journalism and a master’s in communication. Townley and her husband live in Omaha.

Sandra Lyden serves as the library foundation’s grants and donor relations manager, a post she has held since 2013. Raised in California, Lyden attended college in New Mexico, earning a master’s degree in English and bachelor’s degree in history from Eastern New Mexico University. She previously worked as manager of prospect research for Defenders of Wildlife in Washington, DC. Lyden and her husband have three children.
